The DTX Joinery Story

That’s been the way Lyndon has always done things, whether it’s in the business world, in his personal pursuits in fitness and sport or raising a whanau.
Before acquiring and Directing DTX Joinery, Lyndon was an educational leader, both here in New Zealand and abroad. Lyndon and his family developed Brookdale Vineyard, a large scale operation in Marlborough and a business in the Bay of Plenty which services the kiwifruit industry. The kiwifruit pollination business has earned recognition and acclaim from the likes of leading horticulture scientist such as Dr Mark and the Ministry of Primary Industries.
Lyndon has always had an eye for detail, an ambition to grow things and use his systematic and people first approach to enhance every area of his life. The problem-solving. The satisfaction of making something real.
DTX Joinery now operates from a fully equipped factory in Otara, serving clients right across Auckland. From large commercial projects to classroom fit-outs and custom boutique cabinetry, the team brings the same practical smarts and attention to detail to every job.
But the group isn’t a one-man band. Lyndon has built a team of skilled craftspeople and personal in leadership positions who, like him, don’t shy away from a tricky brief. They thrive on challenges and take pride in finding smart, practical solutions that not only work but look stunning too.
You’ll find DTX’s work in schools, offices, homes, and new builds all over Auckland. No matter the project, the mission stays the same: make things that are functional, fit perfectly, and last.
Design Tactix is very much of a family business. Lyndon’s adult daughter and son, Dayarnn and Perry, help keep things ticking over with the accounts, administration and marketing.
DTX Joinery isn’t your average joinery company. It’s a team of problem solvers, directed by a guy who’s spent his life building and leading things that matter, from educational institutions, a large scale vineyard or being part of the dynamic kiwifruit industry. We bring craftsmanship, care, and a bit of Kiwi ingenuity to every job.
Our Operations Manager is Jonathan Coombs, a vastly experienced leader in the joinery business. Jon’s hands on approach and the experience and expertise he brings as qualified joiner and cabinet maker, ensures client’s needs and wants are catered for at every stages of the design, build and instillation process.
